- Long ago the people had always a "cross" made for the children to wear on St. Patrick's Day. This is the way they made it. They used to get a green ribon and make it into the shape of a cross, and then they used to put a ring of ribon around the "cross". Each child was given a "cross" to wear on his left shoulder on St. Patrick's Day.
For Christmas Day, people used to decorate their houses with holy and ivy.
On May Day, they used to bring in May flowers, and decorate Mary's little Altar.
