    you can see small bits of butter on the lid and churn-dash. Then it is gathered by rocking the churn towards you and from you.
    When the butter is gathered it is taken out and put in a coolar. It is washed three or four times so as to take the buttermilk (so as) out of it. Then it is gone through a few times to take out any dirt that mixed in while milking.
    Long ago there were alot of pishrogues connected with churning. If a man came to the house while a while a churning was being made he would not be allowed out until he would take a while of the churning. Before the milk was put in the
