  1. Strawboys 13-5-1938
    When a couple get married the wedding feast is usually celebrated in the house of the bride on the night of the wedding. A larger number of the friends of both parties are in attendance and music and dancing are enjoyed. There is also much feasting.
    During the night while the dancing is in progress a number of young men dressed in women's clothes come to the wedding house. They are called "Strawboys" or "Cleathaires". Usually they are asked to take refreshments but this is generally declined. They are led by a Captain and a Sergeant. When they enter the wedding house
