    went as far as the soldier to see if was [sic] fast asleep. He kept on snoring bytheways and the princesses thought all was well. They opened up the floor and one by one they went down a narrow passage. The soldier followed them.
    At last he stood to see where they would go. They went as far as a lake and at the lake there were twelve beautiful boats. Each one of them went into their own boat. The soldier jumped into one of the boats where he could not be seen. They kept rowing until they reached a lovely castle which was all lit up. They anchored their boats and went into the castle. The soldier waited outside but still he could see what they were doing.
    They got tea and then kept dancing until their shoes
