    Long ago there lived a well-to-do farmer.

    (continued from previous page)
    a big hare coming towards the cattle. One man was about to set his dog on the hare but another man stopped him.
    The hare began sucking the cows' teats in turn. When he had all the cows dried the men set their dogs after him. The men and dogs pursued the hare some distance but they were unable to catch him.
    After some time the hare came to an old house and entered through a hole in the wall, he disappeared from the mens' sight. They went to the door of the building and when they entered to their surprise they found an old woman sitting near the fire place. They noticed one of the old woman's feet was bleeding.
    The men told the woman not to be afraid
