- About twenty four or twenty five years ago a great ship was built in Belfast. There were not many ships in the world as good as it. The builders of the ship thought nothing could harm her on sea.
At that time emigration to America was at its highest. This ship was ready to sail for America. The name of it was the "Titanic". Titanic means something powerful. The Titanic was well fitted out for the sea.
A number of emigrants going to America at that time delayed waiting to go on the Titanic.
