    Long ago there was a man living in a very small farm at the butt of Nephin.

    visiting as usual. It was late when he was returning home. On his way home he came as far as the ruins of an old church. There was a big tree growing in it. Paddy looked up and he saw a big man on top of the tree.
    The Ghost jumped down and told Paddy not to be afraid. He also told him that the fairies of Munster and Connaught were going to play a game of ball on top of Nephin. He took Paddy on his back and jumped up on the tree and he went off from tree to tree until he reached the top of Nephin:
    then he left him down.
