    There were two men living in this place some time ago. They were great friends with each other.

    man "but I'm never afraid". The owner of the house waited until he left for home and then ran before him to his house and hid under the pike of hay at the stable door to try and frighten him. It being later than usual when the man arrived, he caught the sprong and ran to the stable door and stuck the sprong into the hay but it did not go through it. When he was making the second attempt the other man screamed and jumped out. So one man was running from the sprong and the other man running from the spirits.
