How the Danes were banished from the Lios.Years ago a man came to this district with an army to drive out the Danes from the lios. He had a battle with them on the field outside the lios. He killed them all except two – a father and son who had a secret for making porter out of fraoch. He said to the Dane “If you will tell me the secret I will not kill you or your son”. The Dane said to him “Kill my son & I will tell you the secret”. When the man had killed the son, the Dane said to him “You can kill myself now.” - Carraig na bhFranncach = Rats' Rock
