Co. WaterfordThe following information was given to me by my father Patrick Corbett.Old Lime KilnsNearly every farmer with a big farm owned his own lime kiln in olden times.
There were two lime kilns in Stradbally cove and one in Ballyvooney cove. They used to bring the lime stone from Dungarvan quarries in small boats each carrying up to eight or nine tons.
