- (continued from previous page)Put about four spoonfuls of sugar in the water. Cut a couple of slices from a turnip and put them into the bowl of water. Leave it steep for the night. When you get up in the morning drink the water off the turnip and you will soon be without a cough.
- Wart. If you rub a snail to a wart it would cure it.
Corn. If you keep ivy leaves around a corn for nine days would cure it.
Measles. Saffron is a cure for the measles.
