  1. Every year, just a few days, before the Harvest Fair the Stokes family is to be seen arriving in Ballyshannon. They are a yery very old family and move about the country in two very old caravans drawn by two horses. They camp in a in a lane at Mc Cormack’s Bridge on the Enniskillen road. The chief trade of the men is dealing in shaggy horses and donkeys while the women-folk go from house to house endeavouring to sell tin vessels or gladly accept any alms in the line of food, clothing, money etc.
