This storm caused a great amount of destruction in the neighbourhood. Many slates were blown off he houses. Several trees and telegram poles were blown down and a few more smaller occurrences. At sea many lives were lost and broken pieces of boats gave a very desolate appearance as the lay on the shore after the storm.
