    When we heard the roars of William Glen,
    At that the tide took another rush,
    And swept “Betty Harvey” under a bush.
    Chorus :-
    When the tide did cease the wind got able,
    And it knocked down McGeevers gable;
    James McHugh fell over his head,
    And caught his black pig by the leg,
    He cries out murder! my wife is dead,
    And they threw her into Peter’s bed.
    Chorus :-
    When John McHugh saw the flood,
    He began to make a battery of mud,
    And John he made the ditch too straight.
    So the tide struck down his water gate,
    Then the tide took another turn,
    And it swept away Pat Bell’s wee churn.
    Chorus :-
    Andy Coleman scratched his head,
    Merciful God! What will I do with my bed,
    Andy ran but he soon retired,
    He dropped his pack at John Bell’s lyre,[?]

    James Connaghan [?] says it’s fun,
    When he saw the tide he then did run,
