    My airy blade what is your trade

    "Tobacco, and strong whiskey O
    "Sit down my lad and chat a while
    For I like the things you mention O
    And if its I and you agree
    To buy is my intention O"
    But looking back upon his track
    The police they were pursuing O
    "My soul" says Mick "I'll cut my stick"
    "This fills me with alarm O"
    So on the spot Mick fell to trot
    He boldly kept his distance O
    Knowing right well the truth to tell
    He dare'nt make resistance O
    So through the clay Mick tore his way
    For four long miles and over O
    Thinking the crew would not pursue
    Says Mick "I'm now in clover O"
    An old beggarman he called to stand
    He told him his condition O
