    The woman returned home and did as she was told by the priest and the next time she churned she had plenty of butter.
    10 One time there lived in Maas a man named Pat McCabe who had a nice black heifer. One of the neighbours named Neddy Boyle wanted to buy the heifer but Pat McCabe would not sell her. One day Neddy Boyle came to Pat's house and he was looking at the heifer.
    After Neddy went away the heifer got very sick and they thought she was going to die. Pat was told that if he could find any of Neddy's clothes and burn them under the heifers head that it would cure her. Pat did this and in a few hours the heifer was better.
    11 One time there lived in Kilkenny a little boy who was very sick. He had a pet gull and every day the bird used to come to the room where the little boy was lying and roost on the beam above the bed. One day the little boy was very sick and his parents thought he was going to die. The gull came as usual but the boy did not take any notice of it. The gull went away and did not return for some time. After a few weeks
