    old too, to leave their homes to work in Scotland a few months each year. This custom however has died out in recent years.
    They are a good number of people over seventy years of age living in the town. They do not seem to be interested in folk lore or Gaelic. To all appearance they are quite modern attending pictures and all amusements just as they younger people do.
    The town is built on the side of a hill and is surrounded by hilly district and partly adjoining it is the hill. Historic Hill known as Sentry Hill which in days of the religious persecution in Ireland served as a safe retreat for the Priests to celebrate Mass and also afforded a view
