There are twenty two families in the townland. There are about one hundred and ten people in the townland. There is about one quarter of the houses thatched and the remainder is slated. My townland got its name from "The Valley of the Oaks. There are about four people over seventy living in the townland. They cannot speak Irish but they can tell stones in English.
