When you rise up in the morning
And looking for a cure
Just square your yards and set your sails
And head for Magherintoor.When you get a half-one there
Just scud across the moss
And then you will meet a hardy man
When you meet old "Scud across". He is a canny-going gentleman
Never was too rash
He will put you in good form
And he will send you to Clonglash.From that to Drumindoire
A place of great renown
When you get a half-one there
You will never reach the town.You'll be lying over in Clamperland
With your heels above your head
The fir block for your pillow
