Writing, Arithmetic and geography most of the writing work was done on slates.
It was Robert J, Quigley (Roadside) who gave the piece of land where the school is built.
There was not any Irish taught in those early days.
Long ago the people around Tullydish school would appoint a night and hold a dance in the school everyone brought something such as bread, butter, milk or some tea and sugar and make a supper and charged one shilling at the door, whatever money was collected went to a poor woman called Rosey Corney to put a roof on her house and help her in other ways.
