    People believe that if when going on a journey and see two magpies in front of them they will have good luck that day. But if they see only one magpie they expect to then have bad luck that day.
    Some people do not throw out the ashes on the 31st of December as they say not to throw out the old year until the New Year comes in otherswise they would bring bad luck on the house.
