- I play different games at different times of the year. In the spring I skip. In the summer I play rounders and cricket. In the autumn I gather blackberries and hazel nuts and in the winter in the house I play ludo, checkers, dominoes and snakes and ladders. Whenever I am skipping different rhymes are said.Up the long ladder and down the short rope
