Co. Donegal - Long ago it was a custom that the byre should not be cleaned out when it was dark and if it was cleaned out in the dark the people who owned it would have bad luck.
In Moville there lived a man who would not believe in this. He went out and cleaned his byre when it was dark. When he went into the byre in the morning his best cow was dead.(continues on next page)- Collector
