Before long they dug up the plates too, and the fairy appeared. It warned them also but they kept on digging.
Not long after this one of the diggers dropped dead. The rest of them thought the death was caused by the fairy so covering up the hole they ran home.
From that day to this the treasure was never found. - I have heard of many severe storms but this is one in particular that I am going to write about.
On 21st November 1882 there was a great wind storm and it lasted for two days.
It came on suddenly and gave no warning until the people were asleep in bed. On that account many houses were stripped that otherwise might have been saved. As it was,(continues on next page)- Collector
