- In the Fenian times there was a man and his name was Dermot and he made a very big cave in the Lough Mash Road. He went to hide and sleep there and after a while when things quietened down a beautiful spring of water came and filled the cave and now the people for miles around come in the summer and take water from it and it’s named “Leabhaidh Dhiarmada.”
