A SongThe first success to our men of sweet Rush town,
That joined both heart and hand
With a good strong mind they all combined,
To go to Skerries strand.
It was not to pillage or to steal,
We went in broad day-light
To cut the wore on Shenick shore
And claim it as our right.We made no delay, we cleared the way,
They cheered us on the strand,
We drove across to Shinnick, and we were saluted by the wave,
How gently she cleared the way,
and gave freedom to the brave,
And with great haste we loaded our best
