- In the penal days when there was a great search to banish priests and everything holy. In the old graveyard in Cloncha one morning early a monk praying at a friends grave when the soldiers came riding to the gate. As they saw the monk they rushed for him and cut the monks head.
There is a stone over the monks grave and a hole in it and every time it rains the hole fills with blood instead of water. This story is true.- Collector
