covered with water in the Winter and with long grass in the Summer but the land rises up a little near the torlough and is for the most part suitable for tilling and meadowing. The land in Beaugh Donlon is sandy and covered with rushes and fraoch and some of it has been nicknamed the sliabh on account of its rough appearance. In Beaugh Bawn there is good land for tilling except O'Connor's land in part of which there is furze growing.
