Long ago that ground was covered with rushes. There were a man and a dog crossing the field. The man was blind. He bent down and pulled a rush from the ground. The water sprang up and struck him in the eyes. Immediately he got the sight. He put a mark in that spot. The people dug a well and put the image of our Lord nailed to a cross.
