In some places the customs are still kept up but in other places they are dying out.During Shrove and on Shrove Tuesday lot of people get married because they think that it is the best time of the year. The people believe that it is unlucky to get married on a Wednesday in January or February. Friday and Saturday are considered very unlucky days for marriage. Monday is supposed to be lucky also.
