  1. A Local Song (continued)

All you that is at your liberty

    (continued from previous page)
For life is dear to all
And only they were brave young men
They all were sure to fall
    111
His life trial day has come and gone
    But alas no freedom given
To on who tried to save a life
That would be now in heaven
    Callaghans wife was standing there
    to swear their lifes away
But the devil will have both him
and her all on the judgment day
All you that love the Shamrock
you will pray both night and day
    That God may comfort Joseph
Bowles although he is far way
    A few years of confinement
Will not injure one so brave
And we hope to meet him here
Once more to dance on Callaghans grave.
