- In my district fairy forts are very plentiful. These forts are sometimes called rath, fort or liss.
In Uragh there are a number of forts but they are not within view of one another.
Most of these forts are of a round shape. A fence of stones is around some of them and a fence of stones is around more of them. Fairy people were supposed to have lived in these forts.
Some years ago a girl slept at a fort when she awoke her mouth was crooked. After this no-body ever interfered with forts as they thought them unlucky.- Collector
