- In olden times people had only two meals a day, one after doing their morning work, and the other at night.
Their meals consisted of Indian meal porridge, goat's milk, oaten meal bread and potatoes.
They made their bread with oaten meal and milk.
They took their meals on a table, which when not wanted could be hung on the wall.
Goat's meat was the only meat they had, except fish.
