    Father Charles Flynn the curate of Kiltyclogher stood by his people and helped them through the bad years.
    In four years after the people were restored to their homes, thanks to efforts of the Land League that made it impossible for anyone to grab the evicted farms. Many died of hardships and starvation during these bad times. How different it is now for children to live with what it was in those times often going to school without shoes in frost and snow trying to pay rent to landlords, often going to school on a breakfast of potatoes everything had to be sold to pay the rent.
