    but my mother takes the first turn at the dask. This is how she prepares. She brings the churn out to the middle of the floor and she puts the lid on it. A joggler is used also. A joggler is a round piece of wood shaped like a deep saucer with a hole in the centre big enough to go in on the churn dask. This is used to keep the milk from "skiting" out on the floor. She puts warm water in the milk to make it hot enough for churning. Then she begins to churn. She works the churn dask up adn down and when the churning is nearly finished she moves the dask from side to side to gather the butter. When she sees the churn dask a pulling up and no butter to be (sen) seen on it the churning is finished. Then she has to take the butter off the churn. The first thing she does it to take off the lid and wash the buter off it with cold water. Then she gets a "coppon" and lifts the butter out with the joggler and puts it on the coppon. A coppon is a
