- About the time of the Fenians a man named Thomas Corrigan ran from Glenfarne to Enniskillen in an hour. He was pursued by the R.I.C. and he defeated them at the river Cilles near Enniskillen. He umped the river which is about fifteen yards wide and the police could not. Then they had to stop the chase. They told him it was a good jump and says he "I had a good start."
In the townland of Cloonaghmore there lives two great whistles named Hugh Gillgunn and Patrick Keany. When they are walking the road at night you can always know who it is. It is a custom of theirs when they meet together to whistle all the tunes they know. When they are at their work they always whistling.
