a hill from which he could see his home great was his surprise to see his house in flames.
It appears that when his children went home with the timber some of it was put on the fire. As soon as it was put on the fire it went up the chimney in a blaze. No matter what was done the fire could not be quenched and the house was burned to the ground.
From that day to this Bernard McManus never interfered with fairy forts.
