    hair there is a fair green but the cattle are bought and sold on the streets. At our present fairs there are cattle, sheep, horses and donkeys sold. In Manorhamilton the cattle are bought in the fair green and the horses are sold on the streets.
    At Sligo fair when a person buys a cow or any other animal he always has to pay what is called custom on the animal which amounts to about a sixpence or a shilling. There is also a fair green in Lurganboy but the cattle are bought on the street.
