"If you search in the far corner of the castle you will find a crock of gold that will make yourself and your mother rich for ever," says the little man. In two jumps Paidin was in the far corner of the ould castle. He poked around with his stick and seeing a big flat flag in the corner didn't he lift the flag and what did he see but a small crock under it. He took the lid off the crock and wasn't he blinded with the sight of the lovely shining gold sovereigns. He was all excited and he lifted out the crock. He turned round to show it to the wee man and to thank him for telling where the treasure was, but no more than if the ground swallowed the wee brown man not a bit of him could Paidin see anywhere. After a while Paidin recovered himself after the shock of getting the gold and he thought to himself that it would
