when wanted. These tables were of
a rectangular shape and four
persons could eat at them.In olden times people used to
eat potato-cake and "boxty," the potato-
cake was made from boiled potatoes
bruised together and mixed with flour
and then baked on a pan.The boxty was made from
potatoes also, but not from boiled potatoes.
It was made from new potatoes
and flour. The articles used were a
boxty bag and a "grater." The boxty bag
was made from a flour pack and
sewed into a small bag for the
purpose. The grater was made from
tin holed with a nail to have one
course side on it. When the potato
was rubbed on the grater it was ground
into fine pieces. This was put into the
boxty bag and the water squeezed
out of it. Then it was mixed with
