  1. Many customs regarding Halloween Night are upheld in this area.
    A great feast of boxty and potato-cake (which is called slim-cake) is prepared by the woman of the house, assisted by all the children. This feast is eaten at about 8 o' clock at night and then the children begin to play their Halloween tricks.
