    apple in his mouth; this is called "ducking" for apples, and is the commonest game played.
    Then an apple is tied by a string to the 'loft" or ceiling, someone keeps it in motion by moving it with stick; whoever succeeds in getting a bite out of the apple gets the whole apple for himself.
    Three saucers one placed on the table, beads is out in one, water in another and a ring in the other. a "Dallóg" is then put on the children's eyes and they walk towards the table. He who puts his hand on the beads will be a priest or a nun; he who touches the ring will be married and anyone who puts his hand in the water will sail across the sea.
