- We have a timber Churn at home and it is about three feet and a half in height. It is two feet wide at the top and is a foot and nine inches at the bottom. The sides of the churn are of a round shape. It is made of oak staves and these staves are put together by means of hoops. The various parts of the churn are the two up right parts and the bottom. Butter is made once a week in the winter time and twice in the summer time in this district.
