   There used to be a market in Drumshanbo on a certain day every month. The people from Ballingleara took near run up Lake Allen (which was a n) by boat. They could have walked round the road but the thought that this was much nearer. One day a boatload of them went to the market for provisions. It was a very fine day when they were setting out. They were not all ready to leave Drumshanbo together. Some of them had to go round the road. There was about 14 people on
