    In June 1847 a tall man and his daughters, were travelling from Ballinaglera district and had arrived at Bernard Costello's, Shramore about dusk.

    her father had died of hunger, and that he had insisted on her eating all the food, and said he did not feel hungry. She said when she awakened he was dead beside her.
    His grave can be seen yet just inside the fence on Costello's farm.
