    A cure for the whooping cough was to get a ferrits leavings which would keep them from kinking. If a person had whooping cough and if he took three pinches of salt saying in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy ghost he would be cured.
    If a person bled from the nose and if he put something cold to the back of his neck it would stop.
    If a person is walking along and if he unexpectedly comes across a stone on which there is water lodged it is a cure of warts.
    If there is a mole in an eye and if honey is put into it, it will take away the mole.
    Whey is said to be a cure for colds If a person pulled nine rushes and if he rubbed them to warts and then bury them they will cure the warts.
    If when cutting turf a stone is found that never was over ground and if it is rubbed to a tooth where there is toothache it is a cure.
    If a slice of fat bacon is kept to a corn it is supposed to rot it.
