   Five rounds are made around the knee and St. Patrick's Bed. Each round consists of a decade of the Rosary. When complete a drink is taken out of the well. Usually a piece of ribbon is hung on a bush near the well.

   There is a holy well in Temple Togher and another in Mr Keegan's land. The field where the well is situated is named the "castle-field" and the well is called "Tobar na sláinte". The field where St Patrick's well is situated is called the "Church field". People still visit those wells at certain times of the year. From garland Sunday until September is the period set apart for visiting them. On such pilgrimages people
