- In Ballydonohue a house was built over a well. All the old people said that the good people drew water from this well. Before the house was built the well was blocked up. All the people that blocked died young. The most of them died suddenly.In a field in Lisselton there was a small patch of ground. In this primroses and cowslips grew. No one went near this because it was said that it was haunted. The owner of the field paid no heed to this talk. He picked all the flowers and put gravel over the little garden. He built a stall over this for his cattle. When the cattle were put in the servant boy who was putting them in slipped outside the stable and broke his leg.
