    Once upon a time a tyrant landlord named Day lived in Tralee. he used never go out without his dogs for fear the tenants would attack him Day's dogs were known all over Kerry. The following proverb was made from that story,
    "Every day his dog and every dog his day

    Every magpie thinks his own gearrcach the whitest
