There was once a woman called Betty Pendy.

    (continued from previous page)
from you. Once a man who lived near her missed two cows. A red and a black. He went to her and when he was going towards the house, she came out and told him what was his business to her. She told him the black cow was tied in Brosna wood with a "súgan" and that whatever speed he would make home the black cow would be at home before him, and so she was. "But you will never see the red cow again for she is salted in a tub" she said.
